According to some studies, you only have 50 milliseconds to make a good impression.

That’s why it’s important to make a logo and put a lot of thought into it.

But what is the design process for a logo? Keep reading to find out more and to get an A on your school project!

    1. Come Up With a Goal

What do you want your logo to say? You need something that will capture your value and brand for your school project. Come up with some questions you think your teacher will ask and incorporate them into your design process.

You’re not just designing a logo; you’re designing something that will shape your identity.

    1. Start Sketching

Once you’ve started brainstorming, you can start sketching every idea that comes into your head. Go with the flow of the pencil and let it take you where it wants to go.

Don’t feel down if the first few sketches aren’t great; they’ll get better over time. Just keep practicing them.

Even though you might be tempted to throw the bad ones away, you should keep all drafts. You might end up loving some aspect in the first draft and incorporating it into a later draft.

    1. Find Your Style

Now that you have a rough idea of what you want your logo to look like, decide on the style. You’ll need to ensure that all the styles are the same to create a cohesive logo.

Do you want a classic brand? You should stick to basic color schemes and fonts like Times New Roman. If you want a minimalist logo, keep everything simple and use fonts like Arial.

You could also create a logo that has modern styles. You can find all kinds of inspiration and examples online.

    1. Pick Good Colors

The color scheme will also be important, including the background color of the logo.

Make sure that you have logos that will work on a light or a dark background. This means that you’ll have to change the color of the actual logo.

Figure out how the logo will look on your school project and then try and coordinate the colors. Or try and find colors that you think accurately convey the message of your project!

    1. Use a Logo Maker

Once you have a good idea of what you want, you can use a free logo generator to produce the image.

There are a bunch of different options out there to use, and if you don’t have a lot of design expertise, they’ll walk you through the whole process.
